EACH year, hundreds of thousands of Murray cod, Australian bass and golden perch from NSW DPI’s hatcheries at Narrandera and Port Stephens are released into public dams and lakes to ensure the continuation of quality recreational fishing opportunities.
DPI has developed a new native fish stocking plan for the 2019-20 season and they would like your feedback on what they are proposing. The draft 2019-20 native freshwater stocking plan is available HERE.
Check it out and let NSW DPI know what you think. Send your feedback before August 9, 2019.
While you’re at it, make sure you let them know about any freshwater lakes not currently listed that may be suitable for native fish stocking.
