Total Native DVD

FISHING Australia presenter Rob Paxevanos says he’s very excited to announce the release of his new DVD production, Total Native.

As its title suggests, Total Native is the culmination of 25 years of fishing for Australia’s native freshwater sportfish and according to Rob Paxevanos its aim is “to enlighten people on the amazing quality of fishing and huge variety of experiences right on their doorstep…”

The film starts with an overview of the Murray Darling Basin, Australia’s biggest catchment, and its majestic golden perch and mighty Murray cod – our biggest and most revered freshwater fish. In the film you’ll see footage of a swag of big cod from across the Murray Darling Basin, including a beastly sized specimen that menaces a 3kg golden perch.

The film features both lure and fly fishing for giant cod and goldens.

Paxevanos says while the film is “primarily a hard core fishing documentary”, it also features great how-to information for beginners, detailing the cheapest and easiest way to get started in catching natives – bait fishing from the bank.

The DVD also covers both river and lake fishing as well as bush safety.
