A VIDEO showing a group of residents abusing teenagers for fishing a local lake has gone viral.
The teenagers were fishing for carp at West Lakes in South Australia. The viral video has backfired for the angry residents with an enormous amount of support from around Australia.
Recfish SA condemned the behaviour of the residents.
“We absolutely do not condone that sort of behaviour for children fishing in their own neighbourhood,” Recfish SA’s Asher Dezsöery told Channel Nine.
Recfish SA has offered to buy the boys new fishing gear.
Meanwhile, hundreds of locals are planning to get out and fish in support the young fishos.
