VICTORIAN angling clubs are again being given the chance to reel in funding to improve their facilities and attract new members thanks to Vic Fisheries’ latest round of our Stronger Fishing Clubs Grants program.
Supported by your recreational fishing licence fees, grants of up to $10,000 are on offer for clubs and associations to undertake improvements that provide a supportive environment for newcomers to fishing, and to help run community events for people to come and try the popular pastime.
Previous grant recipients include the Wonthaggi Angling Club, which used funding to install new cladding to modernise their clubrooms.
