IF you’re in the market for a new fishing boat and have been left underwhelmed by some of the more spartan offerings around, we may have the answer … or at least Hammacher Schlemmer does … er, sort of.
According to HS’s online blurb the company is “offering the best, the only, and the unexpected for 164 years”.
Well, unexpected is definitely one way of describing the unique craft pictured hereabouts.
The Barbecue Dining Boat is apparently loaded with features including built-in barbecue grill, umbrella, and trolling motor. The wacky looking fake-tan orange craft, looking more floating kiddies’ pool than boat, caters for up to 10 adults courtesy of its 24″ diameter steel charcoal grill, surrounded by an ABS table with 10 place settings.
Picture it now – you’ll be the hit of the party when that next flattie literally goes straight from the water onto the sizzling grill! The 11′ diameter nylon umbrella can be retracted when using the grill, or for those boozy midnight fly casting sessions.
The BDB’s 30-watt electric trolling motor enables operators to speed along smoothly at up to around six km/h – all without spilling the champers or slopping tomato sauce down your best strides. The motor’s four rechargeable batteries provide up to eight hours of continuous use from a 10-hour charge – more than enough time to get over the fact you’re sitting in a gigantic floating Jaffa.
All this can be yours for only $50,000.
