A REVOLUTIONARY new range of portable outboard engines has been released by US-based company LEHR Inc.
Available in 2.5 and 5 horsepower models these amazing little donks run on propane gas, as readily found in those little canister style containers that fuel your camp stove, light or barbecue.
The outboards are the brainchild of Captain Bernardo Jorge Herzer, CEO and founder of LEHR, who had successfully used propane gas to power small engines on several ships. “Propane is just safer, more efficient and more reliable,” according to Herzer.
Five years later, with corporate offices, and an R&D centre in Los Angeles, California, LEHR is now a groundbreaking leader in the research and development of environmentally friendlytecnology.
These outboards sell in the US from $1199 (US). There’s no word on if and when they will be available in Australia.
