WA barra on a budget

AFTER launching its budget package price NT barra tour concept back in April 2010, Phil’s Affordable Barra Tours is at it again with a new Broome WA package.

After what can only be described as a very successful four years of introducing southern and eastern state fishos to the magic of Northern Territory barra fishing, Phil reckons, for all the same reasons, Broome WA should take off with a similar level of patronage.

Broome is a beautiful pearling town steeped in historical significance and like Darwin, it is a stop-over for many round Australia caravan travellers.

However, unlike Darwin, most eastern and southern state fishos would have never considered just going to Broome to fish because of the tyranny of distance, cost and time. Well the good news is Broome is now well within the reach of all Australian fishos, thanks to Phil’s budget package tour which includes a weekly direct flight to Broome from most capital cities, cutting flying time by almost half to less than five hours each way.

Phil is initially offering three tours to Broome ranging from a five day budget package fishing two days in Broome creeks and one day in the bay for most of the blue water species, inclusive of air fares, four nights’ bed, breakfast and lunches in Broome, a professional fishing guide, tackle and boat all for just $2,650 per person – even less from Perth.

The second and probably the most popular five day tour package includes 4WD transportation (165Ks) to the Mighty Fitzroy River for a chance at the bigger barra, staying on location for three days fishing and two nights accommodation with all meals provided. Air fares and first and last nights in Broome with breakfasts included for $3,300 per person – even less from Perth.

The third tour is the ultimate 10 day affair cruising the beautiful Kimberley coastline in a 65′ mother ship with two 5m tinnies to explore and fish the many pristene rivers and creeks, with a professional skipper, fishing guides, and chef with all meals provided. This is a six person minimum and maximum package with price averageing out at around $875 per person per day. Package includes air fares from most capital cities and last nights accommodation and breakfast in Broome.

As an introductory first season special for all three tour packages Phil is also including a complementary one & a half hour Broome orientation excursion with Top Deck Tours.
