Jackson’s Big Tuna

JACKSON Kayak says its new Big Tuna is the most exciting fishing kayak in decades.

It features a new patent pending bait tank or live well that allows yakkers to keep their catch or bait fresh, as well as keep drinks and food cool.

The “Tuna Tank” requires no plumbing or electronics as it utilises the water beneath the kayak to circulate into the tank. The tank can also be used as a see-through portal to the underwater world, by simply changing the insert (available 2013). The Big Tuna also has options for cooler, dry hatch or glass bottom inserts. The bait tank is standard.

The kayak also features familiar Jackson items such as paddle holders, stagers, wide standing platform, front day hatch, drop down rudder and adjustable foot pegs. The driftchamber for a drag chain or anchor make the Big Tuna an angler’s dream. There are also new features like tackle box stagers, closeable mesh side pockets, rod tip cover and long load safety flag and the all important elite seats, with new rear and underside pockets.

Best of all, the kayak features new “Face time” seating, meaning you can rotate the seats around to face your partner in conversation while drifting, trolling or having a few cold drinks while you wait for a bite.

The Big Tuna can also be easily converted into a solo version.
