COBB grill is a compact and portable BBQ unit designed to accommodate a range of cooking styles and techniques. It is an all-in-one unit. Fishing World tested the COBB Gas Bundle.
COBB gas bundle comes with separate cooking surfaces designed specifically for grilling on a cast-alloy griddle, frying on a Teflon coated pan, shallow frying in a wok, and a roasting rack. Each cooking surface fits neatly into the lid for storage and is easy to interchange for your cooking needs.

COBB is a well-made BBQ that uses premium stainless steel suitable for marine use. The size is perfect for boating or camping. It all fits nicely into a carry bag for ease of transport and storage. We easily carried the COBB a few hundred meters to our fishing spot on the headland. The uneven surface was fine as the COBB has four legs, two of which are slightly adjustable. Once turned on the stainless steel base is cool to touch so any surface can be cooked on, such as a trestle table, ice box, ground or even straight on the boat.

The COBB’s unique shape is what made a big impression during our testing. The dome lid holds heat and protects the burner from the wind. We used the unit out in the open where there was a light sea breeze and there was no impact on the cooking efficiency at all. Again, this ticks a lot of boxes for use out on the water.

The gas canisters can last up to 8 hours on a low setting which opens up opportunities for a variety of cooking techniques like roasting that require longer cooking times.
We enjoyed cooking a few sausages after a flick. The cooking time was reduced thanks to the dome lid keeping heat in. We used the grill plate which gave the snags a crispy texture, just like you would from any quality BBQ that can draw high heat.

The COBB gas bundle retail price is $628 online. It is currently advertised at $599.
