DAIWA’S new Saltiga SJ rods have been developed jointly between Daiwa Japan engineers and Daiwa Australia product managers to create a series of dedicated slow jigging rods that stand out from the rest.
Premium Japanese technology, components and blank design, and specialised Australian designs, actions and tapers makes these the best slow jigging rods Daiwa Australia has ever released.
A good slow jigging rod starts with the blank, with high-elasticity SVF Nanoplus graphite has been used to produce quick recovery blanks. This high-end graphite gives the blank more rebound, allowing the rod to work the jig quicker and allowing the angler to input smaller more refined movements for maximum jig control.
A new slow jigging specific Zero Seat reel seat has been developed specifically for this series of rods. The larger diameter is suitable for both conventional overhead reels from 10-35 size and low-profile baitcast style reels from 150-400.
The new Zero Seat is supremely comfortable, and shapes to the anglers’ hands easily improving comfort for long jigging sessions and heavy drags.
Daiwa’s Complete Control (CC) grip design has also been adopted for this series, and features both on the foregrip and butts of the spinning models and the butts of the overhead models and gives the angler increased comfort and control over the rod during the fight.
Fuji Titanium Framed SiC guides outfit the blanks and feature double-foot construction all the way through the tip, this gives the Saltiga SJ rods superb durability with the extra leg preventing damaged guides from heavy long fluorocarbon leaders being wound through the tip guides when retrieving your jig.
If you want to elevate your jigging, there is simply no better than the new Saltiga SJ rods, available from PE2 through to PE5 models in both overhead and spinning.
