SHIMANO says its Stradic SW takes the trusted Stradic range to the next level with this heavy-duty saltwater series.
Purpose-built for offshore and saltwater fishing, the Stradic SW has the power and toughness required to tackle hard fighting saltwater species.
Available in 5000XG, 6000XG, 8000PG and 10000HG sizes, there are models and ratios available to suit a range of saltwater fishing styles. Whether you need a low-gear PG model for deep jigging or a faster retrieve XG or HG model for casting, the Stradic SW will have you covered up to a PE 6-line class.
By utilising Shimano’s Infinity Drive technology from the Stella SWC, the Stradic SW has improved pinion gear support and less gear resistance to provide greater cranking power. This feature is combined with a more robust body design and upgraded power handle knob, which differentiates it from the Stradic FL series which is dedicated to lighter tackle pursuits.
The rigid metal Hagane Body and cold forged Hagane Gear combine to deliver the performance expected from all Shimano spinning reels. To maintain a high standard of saltwater performance, X-Protect has been incorporated throughout the reel to provide greater durability to key areas like the line roller and clutch assembly to an IPX8 standard.
With a 6+1 stainless bearing count and a drag output range up to 13kg depending on model size, the reels are smooth and pack plenty of stopping power. The Stradic SW is finished in a striking blue and silver colour scheme, pairing perfectly with the Grappler or Anthem rod ranges.
Available in-stores from March 2021, RRP from $449.
