ANGLERS in the Sofala region of western NSW will next month be hoping to emulate the achievements of the 2011 Sofala Carp Blitz by again extracting a large number of the introduced fish species from local waterways.
The 2012 carping event is on Sunday November 25 on the Mudgee side of the Turon River from 7am till 4pm.
There are loads of great prizes up for grabs for participants in different categories including: Kids 5-16 years; adults, male & female; heaviest carp and heaviest carp on fly, and there will be raffles held on the day and hot food available.
Lergendary fishing writer Rod Harrison will also be in attendance at the event.
