THE 2016 Dave Irvine Memorial Snapper Classic was run in Coffs Harbour over the weekend and there were plenty of good fish caught.
The catch and release only event delivered some quality snapper although total numbers were a bit lower than usual.
Total amount of Legal Snapper caught & released was 867 with an average size of 49.9cm.
Champion team was TOR with 5429 points, with Garner Catch Em With Cliffy (4164) and Squidgy (4122) in second and third.
Andrew Burke was the champion angler with 2752 points in the opens category while Chloe Laurence was champion in the womens with 2253 points.
The biggest snapper caught was 91.7cm by Andrew Talbot, with honourable mentions for Morgan Rose, Josh Batterson and Tony Luu who all got a snapper over 90cm.
The total amount of anglers was 221 with 90 Teams including 6 kayaks teams. There were 11 juniors, 17 kayakers and 5 ladies that entered the competition.
