IN fishing, when opportunity knocks you’ve got to make the most of it. Such was the case for Ocean Blue Fishing Adventures guide Andrea Traverso recently in Vanuatu.
Andrea reportedly saw the estimated 45kg GT pictured in the late afternoon off the Trees & Fishes Lodge beach as boats were being washed down after a day’s fishing. Andrea caught and released the big GT after what was, no doubt, an exciting and torrid battle!
The fish topped the previous beach record GT of 35kg. Not bad fishing from right in front of the lodge!
