THE new 6000C8 heralds a new level of design and features for Alvey Reels Australia.
The spool is custom machined as the new carbon clutch washer and plate. Having an extra large 55mm diameter clutch washer system gives heaps of raw clutch pressure and absolutely smooth operation from the latest clutch material.
The spool design features plenty of CNC machined holes to reduce weight as much while still providing maximum strength. A hard anodized finish seals the surface of the cold forged 6061 grade aluminium spool to ensure high resistance to saltwater.
A very strong stainless steel friction tube was machined in Alvey’s factory to add more features to the new reel. The hand rolled stainless steel back plate with the laser cut fish tale cross also adds more strength to the back plate as well as style. All the other regular bronze and brass components are inside the back plate to work the drag system and fish alert system.
Alvey’s proven metal side cast system sits on top of the reel to connect to your favorite rod and ensure long accurate casts when fishing. While the reel weighs in at 780 gms it still balances beautifully on any of our 12 ft rods or longer.
