Alvey takes out IGFA award

IN May this year Alvey Reels Australia was awarded the prestigious Best Fly Reel Award
for the 2012 IGFA season in Florida.

Managing Director OF Alvey Reels, Bruyce Alvey says the award was due to the great efforts of Scott and Sue Tindale of Auckland in New Zealand who both set numerous World Fly Fishing Records using the Alvey Saltwater fly reel.

The Alvey Saltwater Fly Reel is 100 per cent Australian manufactured and Alvey Reels Australia has been manufacturing reels locally since 1920 with its keen and dedicated staff in Carole Park Queensland.

Scott Tindale says “as a guide they (Alvey Saltwater fly reels) have made my job teaching techniques in targeting and playing out the many different salt water fish species much easier. The simple and easy to use drag system has contributed in less bust offs and tangles when hard hitting fish react, allowing more concentration on watching and predicting the fishes movements rather than watching the reel.
