FROM just a couple of basic head shapes back in 2005, Black Pete’s Billmark trolling lure range has expanded to nine lures to suit the requirements of offshore anglers chasing anything from jumbo bluefin tuna to giant blue marlin.
These fish-raising designs have undergone constant refinement as new technology has become available, as well as feedback and advice from the Black Pete’s Pro Team, and the harshest critic of all — the fish!
Billmark lure heads feature nylon leader holes, so no chafing of the trace, distinctive Black Pete eyes set in beautiful bubble free clear resins from crystal clear to a variety of colour tints, and paua (abalone shell), mirror, foil or luminous inserts for additional flash and sparkle.
The leader holes are precisely centred so each and every lure runs true and creates just the right amount of surface commotion. The collars are accurately machined so skirts can be glued or tied in place without bulging.
The Billmark tangle-free skirts complement the heads. These are vibrant and according to the makers, won’t lose their lustre, no matter how many sea miles they do – they’re available in a wide variety of effective colours.
