CATCHING a big barra is a special event that’s sure to stay in an angler’s memory banks for years to come.
That will no doubt the case for a recent client of Aurukun Fishing Charters, based in the township of Aurukun south of Weipa on the remote Cape York west coast.
AFC’s head guide, Terry Holman, was reportedly fishing with a client near the Love River when the lucky angler struck gold (or more aptly, silver…) in the form of this magnificent 128cm wild barra. That’s an exceptional catch, well done to all concerned!
