DAIWA’S flagship baitcaster, the Steez, has been reborn and now sports an all new look and design. Daiwa says it’s the lightest, easiest casting metal-bodied baitcaster in existence.
With ”super metal” magnesium frame and side-plate, it weighs in at only 155 grams. The ultra-compact body and full-sized gearbox house an incredible 12-bearing system and supports the free-floating super-lightweight Duralumin dimpled spool. The ”swept” handle and drag star deliver pure cranking comfort and perfect balance.
The new Steez is designed to be the ultimate finesse baitcaster. It’s made to cast the lightest lures with ease thanks to the free floating lightweight aluminium spool and Magforce Z magnetic cast control system.
The free floating spool is unique, most reels have pinion gear constantly riding the spool shaft, and Daiwa’s unique system floats the spool independently on precision, stainless steel ball bearings, so the spool spins freely, unhampered by gear train friction when casting. Magforce Z is Daiwa’s unique magnetic anti-backlash control. It combines the best attributes of old-fashioned mechanical braking with today’s advanced magnetic braking technology.
