Costa Del Mar sunglasses

FIELD TESTED

I STILL recall my first fishing sunnies. They were big, round, and had funny-looking leather sun shields on the side. Sunglasses have come a long way since then, both in appearance and lens technology. Good vision is an asset on the water, and not only for sight fishing. For all types of fishing, fresh and salt, good sunnies are essential for cutting glare and to protect your eyes.

Costa Del Mar specialise in high quality sunglasses designed for water sports. There are heaps of styles, frame colours and lenses to choose from. I’ve been wearing the Zane frame style in an amber colour lens over this past summer. I wear them everywhere! The lenses are made from glass, which while heavier than polycarbonate, offers a tougher lens with no chance of scratching. I was pleasantly surprised to find the overall weight of the Castas was lighter than most other glass lens sunnies. They’re very comfortable to wear. If you really want to keep the weight down further, Costa Del Mar offers plenty of polycarbonate models.

The lens clarity is far better than other sunnies I’ve worn. Everything is noticeably clearer, making it easier to locate fish and underwater structure.
If you’re looking for a pair of premium sunglasses, then the range from  Costa Del Mar will be very hard to beat.
