PERFECTLY-MATCHED to Daiwa’s range of electric reels, the Tanacom Bull rod series has been designed to do battle with the denizens of the deep.
Due to massive pressure placed on the rod from this style of fishing, the Tanacom Bull series has been constructed with the strongest materials available. Blending HSD graphite with glatech composites and using Daiwa’s Bias Wrap Construction design (famous from the Saltiga rod series), has resulted in an incredibly strong, light and thin rod that’s capable of fishing up to 200lb (90kg) braided line. This design uses diagonal construction creating a blank that resists twisting under extreme pressure for less stress, extreme low-end lifting power and greater hook-setting power.
The power from the blank is support by a detachable aluminium bent butt, Fuji HD II silicone carbide guides that are heavily wrapped for extra strength and a swivelling AFTCO roller tip to keep the line in direct contact with the roller at all times.
The 56HFD model is rated for 50-130lb braided lines, perfectly-matched to Tanacom Bull 500/1000 or Seaborg 1000 reels, and is best suited to water up to 500m deep or heavy-duty reef fishing. The rod has a short detachable bent butt that is perfect for trailerboat fishing or stand-up fishing on the reefs.
The 66XHFD is the ultimate heavy-duty deepwater rod capable of fishing up to 200lb braided line, best matched with the Tanacom Bull/Seaborg 1000 or the Marine Power 3000 reels. With its long, detachable bent butt, it’s designed to be fished out of the rod holder and is ideal for fishing water well over 1000m deep.
