IT’S less than two weeks until the 2014 Dave Irvine Memorial Snapper Competition (DIMSC) gets underway at Coffs Harbour on the NSW North Coast.
The DIMSC is an annual premium lure-only competition in which competitors catch, photograph and release the region’s no.1 target fish – the mighty snapper.
Since its inaugural event, the DIMSC has grown to become one of the country’s premium snapper competitions.
The event is run in honour of Dave Irvine who passed away several years ago and was the designer of the Brag Mat and Environet and an advocate for catch & release fishing and safe fish handling.
