FISH stocking groups interested in stocking native fish into approved public waters are being invited to lodge an expression of interest in the NSW DPI’s dollar-for-dollar funding program.
For the next stocking season (October 2014 – May 2015), dollar-for-dollar funding has been set aside from the Recreational Fishing Freshwater Trust to stock Australian bass in eastern drainage waters and Murray cod and/or golden perch in western drainage waters.
Groups interested in stocking native fish in public waters in NSW on a dollar-for-dollar basis during the 2014/15 season can complete an application form (located within the booklet linked HERE) and return it to NSW Department of Primary Industries by the closing date below.
For each application, offers of between $1,000 and $5,000 will be considered for matching funding.
For further information about the Dollar for Dollar Native Fish Stocking Program contact Mr Ben Doolan at the Port Stephens Fisheries Institute on (02) 4916 3835.
Closing date for applications to stock Australian bass is April 4 and for Murray cod and golden perch, May 2.
