ECLIPSE FNQ Charters is now owned and operated by North Queensland locals Bianca Gerrard and Joseph Berwick.
The enthusiastic partners offer their new boat, Eclipse D, a 50ft live-aboard aluminium catamaran, to accomodate keen anglers as they fish remote locations of the west coast of Cape York. The fishing opportunities in the region are second to none, with the option of fishing inshore reefs, untouched rivers and estuaries, freshwater/lagoons, white sandy beaches and flats or rocky headlands only accessible by mothership.
There is a huge variety of sportfish to target on the Cape’s West Coast including barramundi, GTs, the elusive permit on the flats, jacks, mackerel, salmon, tuna, milkfish and jewfish, just to name a few. There is nowhere else you can catch as many different fish as on the west coast of Cape York!
The fully air conditioned catamaran is equipped with modern conveniences to make your stay comfortable with four twin cabins and two double cabins all of which accommodates up to 9 anglers plus crew. There is a full walk around deck, and an inviting shaded entertainment deck which caters comfortably for onboard BBQs.
To get you to the fish there are three 5m custom built aluminium tenders and a 6m tender which are all fitted out for casting and comfort.
Eclipse FNQ Charters specialise in lure and fly fishing and can be either fully guided or partially guided depending on your preference. Individual and group bookings are welcomed and they also offer the vessel for private charter upon request. Private charters are ideal for group bookings and can include shortened or extended trips.
