2011 has been a busy year for angling clubs and councils involved in improving fishing facilities in NSW, with the Recreational Fishing Trust providing funding for a number of fish cleaning tables and fishing platforms across the state.
Some of the recently completed works include:
Upgrade of the fish cleaning shelter at Norah Head; Fish cleaning shelter at The Entrance North; Replacement of the handrail on Long Jetty wharf; Disabled fishing platform – Stockton; Fish cleaning table – Moruya; Fish cleaning table – Karuah; Five Lake Macquarie fish cleaning tables at Cams Wharf, Swansea, Pelican, Croudace Bay and Toronto; Merimbula Town Wharf upgrade including fishing platform and fish cleaning table; Tweed Heads South fish cleaning shelter.
Other projects nearing completion include seven new fish cleaning tables in the Eurobodalla Shire, a new and improved fish cleaning shelter in the Lake Keepit State Park, the Guy Fawkes River fishing trail at Ebor and upgraded fish cleaning tables at Sawtell.
