Fisho’s new-look November

REGULAR readers of Fishing World will notice the new look of the November issue which has undergone a fairly major and, in our opinion, very stylish redesign.

While the old girl might have had a make-over you can still expect to find all the great fishing features and practical info you’re used to in Australia’s No.1 fishing publication. The cover story in the all-new November issue is a detailed back to basics piece by keen jewie fisher Mark Frendin. Lure fishing might be the trendy way to catch jewies, but as you’ll read here, bait still works great, mate!

This issue David Green writes of the amazing sailfish fishery that exists in WA’s Kimberley region. This is definitely one destination to add to the bucket list.

This month young gun fisho Chris Cleaver makes a return to his old favourite rock platform where he spent his youth chasing the likes of bream, drummer and blackfish –  and wonders why he ever left!

Mangrove jacks are amongst the toughest fish with fins and in recent years have become the focus for a bunch of dedicated jack anglers south of the Queensland border. As Dave Rae writes, “There’s no doubt huge jacks are hooked in NSW every summer, but are rarely landed”. This is a must-read for all jack fans.

Vibes are very effective lures that in the right hands can turn a slow bite into an action-packed rod bender. This month keen vibe man Ben Caddaye outlines the latest in proven techniques for fishing these lures for bream, flatties, whiting, bass, EPs and more.

Also in November Fisho, keen ‘yak fisher Kris Sweres heads out bush and has a ball camping out and chasing feisty Murray cod; Paul Lennon goes back to targeting big snapper with bait; and Scott Gray goes drifting for gummy and school sharks.
