AS Fisho has previously reported, a Sydney-based Anglers Action Group is pushing to have Pittwater declared a rec-only fishing haven. (Earlier report here).
The Anglers Action Group now awaits an announcement from the minister for Primary Industries Katrina Hodginson on a review of certain aspects of professional fishing, after which an evaluation period is expected before a final decision announcement is made.
The AAG is continuing to urge supporters of the initiative to contact the minister and voice their views at: office@hodgkinson.minister.nsw.gov.au.
As well as emailing, stakeholders can support a signed petition which will also be sent to Katrina Hodgkinson. Please note that this is not an online petition and requires a name, address and signature on a hard copy. Download the petition HERE.
