DAIWA’S Generation Black Travel Series rods offer travelling anglers a wide range of actions to suit most light tackle species.
The Travel versions feature Daiwa’s finest multi piece rod actions and will suit just about any light tackle species. Using HVF (High Volume Fibre) graphite combined with the blank actions based on Daiwa’s flagship rods like Steez and Black Label, the manufacturer has created an amazing series of rods at a fraction of the price.
The rods carry Fuji’s lightweight Alconite guides to provide superior casting, unlimited line flow and line protection. By combining Fuji’s guide technology with Daiwa’s RR (reduced resistance) guide system, the guide placement and sizing allows for the superior casting qualities available from these blanks.
One of the most important parts of a rod is the reel seat, it needs to hold a reel firmly and be comfortable in your hand, GB rods feature Daiwa’s custom made Tournament Graphite reel seats. The spin models have a screw down foregrips with a removable spacer for smaller reels, EVA insert and grip section for the palm of your hand, while the baitcasters use Daiwa’s TDZ skeleton – it has a super low profile to keep the reel closer to the exposed blank to transfer vibration from the rod and a screw down foregrip.
The Travel series come with a shoulder sling bag for protection and ease of travel, finished off in an all matt black finish with minimal styling.
