BRILLIANT spring weather resulted in large crowds attending Sunday’s NSW Gone Fishing Day events.

Together with the events organised by fishing clubs around the state, NSW DPI staged Gone Fishing Days at Botany Bay, Moree, Ballina, Huskisson, Mulwala and Lake Macquarie.

NSW events included: fishing clinics, casting comps, goodie bags, fish cooking demonstrations and lots more. Fishing personalities presented talks and provided fishing tips throughout the day. There was also plenty to keep the kids entertained including; fish touch tanks, jumping castles, face painting and petting zoos.
