VICTORIAN game fishers, here’s a chance to have your say. The Victorian Fisheries Authority (VFA) would like to hear from you on the proposed introduction of a 120 cm minimum size for all mako shark species.
Mako sharks currently fit within the overarching category of shark catch limits, which is subject to a bag/possession limit of 1 per species and no minimum size.
The proposed minimum size would increase protection of juvenile makos.
