OVER the past few years native fish populations have faced tough conditions including widespread drought, reduced water availability and more recently, the effects of intense bushfires.

The draft Native Fish Recovery Strategy has been developed to help restore native fish in the Murray-Darling Basin.

The draft strategy is now ready for public consultation.

For this strategy to succeed, the Murray-Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) says it’s vital that the priorities and needs of all stakeholders are reflected.
