The annual Whitesands Gamefishing Tournament hosted by the Jervis Bay Game Fishing Club kicks off again this week. The tournament based at Jervis Bay on the NSW south coast gets underway this Friday, November 27 and concludes on Sunday November 29.
Entrants in past Whitesands events have encountered yellowfin tuna, early runs of marlin and big dolphinfish; the latter have been caught offshore of Jervis Bay in recent times.
There are over 35 tag and release and capture categories and loads of great prizes on offer including Shimano game fishing tackle, GME EPIRBS, GarminSounders, a $250 voucher from Culburra Bait and Tackle and more – a complete list of prizes and categories is available for download below.
The tournament will be centred around the marquee behind the Huskissonpub and a briefing will be held on Thursday November 26 at 6pm, with a free sausage sizzle provided for all partcipants.
