THE organisers of a Keep Australia Fishing Convoy in WA set down for Wednesday, Aug 29, at 2pm need your support!
A convoy will start in Fremantle and head to a meeting point (destination still to be confirmed) at around 4pm, where a public rally will be held, with keynote speakers and special guests in attendance.
There will be opportunities for all interested parties to join the convoy along the way, or at the rally afterwards. The organisers want lots of concerned fishos to tow their boats in the convoy, or join in with cars as well, all sporting banners, placards and signs, voicing opposition to proposed fishing lockouts in the state under the federal Government’s series of marine reserves.
Regional anglers can become involved also – one town is already planning to run its own rally in conjunction with the Fremantle based event.
