A tagged Murray cod has been recaptured at Lake Eildon, revealing some interesting information about its growth rate and movement.
The fish was first tagged and released by fisheries scientists in February 2019 – it measured 44cm and weighed 1.21kg.
The fish was recently recaptured by Darren Weda from In Depth Angler and measured 52cm!
In the 244 days at liberty, the fish had grown a staggering 8cm and not moved from its initial capture point.
