WHILE filming for Fisho’s next series of How-To practical videos today on the NSW South Coast, well known “lizard king” Ian “Big E” Phillips certainly lived up to his reputation.
While filming a segment on soft plastic luring for flathead with Fisho’s Jim Harnwell at St Georges Basin, Phillips managed to catch and release the monster featured hereabouts.
For the record the giant measured 97.5cm and was caught on a Z-Man soft plastic. Phillips also accounted for another “tiddler” of 70cm while the cameras rolled.
Not to be outdone, Fisho’s Harnwell scored an impressive 93cm model, also on a Z-Man. (See pic above).
