As of 1st August 2011, Rapala Freetime Australia Pty Ltd, distributor of well known tackle brands such as Okuma, Silstar, Rapala, Storm, VMC and others, has officially changed its operating name to Rapala VMC Australia Pty Ltd.
“This change of business name better reflects the company’s operations,” – said Aku Valta, Managing Director of Rapala VMC Australia Pty Ltd.
“Rapala Freetime Australia Pty Ltd was a suitable company name during the transition stage when Freetime Australia Pty Ltd was purchased by the Rapala VMC group some five years ago.
“Rapala VMC’s ownership of the Australian company is now certainly well known, and as such the decision has been made to rename the company to Rapala VMC Australia Pty Ltd in order to keep international uniformity amongst the Rapala VMC group.”
