The latest addition to Nitro’s surf rod range, the Frankenstein, extends the performance standards set by the Nitro Messiah surf rods.
While designed for extreme surf conditions and big fish the Frankenstein is a lightweight at only 555 grams (19.58oz). This 15-footer is based on a high-performance, high impact-resistant 3-piece carbon fibre blank that’s been built up using the finest Fuji components including reel seat and stainless steel framed alconite guides.
The Frankenstein is rated for 8-15kg line with casting weights ranging from 1 – 5oz (28 – 142 grams) and is ideal for casting heavy bait rigs for species such as shark and mulloway in the dead of the night.
