LAST week Fisho spent a busy three days filming footage for our new online TV series being launched later this year.
The destination for the shoot was the fish-rich Shoalhaven region of the NSW South Coast where we successfully filmed a variety of estuary sport fishing scenarios – in at times, trying weather conditions courtesy of a lingering low pressure system – and experienced a less successful morning of bass fishing…
There were plenty of highlights of the three day shoot, including some fun lure fishing sessions on sand flats, a challenging mullet on fly session and the disappointment of seeing local South Coast fisho David Johnstone battle a big fish – thought to be a jewie – for an hour in a wild southerly on 6lb gear before the hook eventually pulled … Bad luck, Dave!
All in all, we managed to get some quality footage “in the can” and have planned a return trip to tackle the region’s bass when they’re hopefully on the chew. In the meantime, here’s a photo gallery of some of the action from last week (Pics by Mick Fletoridis & Scott Thomas).
