Australia’s biggest, truly national fishing competition, the Pirtek Fishing Challenge is on this Sunday April 10.
The competition will be held on Sunday between the hours of 6.00 am and 6.00 pm. Each state’s target species will be revealed after 6.00 pm on Saturday April 9, via the website www.pirtekfishingchallenge.com.au.
The aim of the Fishing Challenge is to raise funds and awareness for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia. Stephen Dutton, General Manager of Pirtek Fluid Systems said, “This will be the third year for the Challenge and it’s growing stronger every year. We are excited to again be hosting this event and supporting the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.”
There is $140,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs in this year’s Challenge. Catch a fish to fight prostate cancer on April 10 and have a great day out with your family and friends. Every $20 entry fee goes directly to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia, with the organisers sending out a limited edition cap and brag mat to each competitor. For the first time competitors are also able to purchase long sleeve sublimated fishing shirts to continue their support.
