FISHO’S recent poll asking whether or not recreational fishos should become aligned with the commercial sector has returned a resounding “no” result.
In the March issue of Fishing World, editor Jim Harnwell raised the controversial question of whether rec anglers should become aligned with commercial fishers in a bid to fight the forces that seem destined to ban fishing.
In the resounding opinion of 78 per cent of our online pollsters it would be a mistake if recreational fishing groups became associated with the commercial sector. Of the remaining results, 16.5 per cent of those polled clicked “yes” to an alliance with the pros, while 5.5 per cent were undecided.
