Queensland poachers busted, fined

Four people in Queensland have been apprehended with 150 undersized fish.

A FISHING trip has turned into an expensive outing for five Sunshine Coast fishers when Queensland Boating and Fisheries Patrol busted the group with 150 undersized fish.

Thanks to a tip from the Fishwatch hotline, officers intercepted the fishers trying to hide their catch and flee Chambers Island in the Maroochy River.

All of the fishers plead guilty and were fined a total of $4000.
