FISHOS in NSW now have the opportunity to get hold of a couple of essential handbooks that cover freshwater and saltwater fishing in the state.
NSW Department of Primary Industries (NSW DPI) Recreational Fisheries Manager, Phil Bolton said the NSW Recreational Fishing Guides are produced using funds allocated from the NSW Recreational Fishing Trust.
“The guides provide recreational fishers with an up-to-date summary of the State’s fishing rules and regulations and are a must-have item for the tackle boxes of anyone fishing in NSW waters,” Bolton said.
“Two separate guides are produced every year, the NSW Recreational Saltwater Fishing Guide and the NSW Recreational Freshwater Fishing Guide.
“The guides provide recreational fishers with comprehensive information about how they can play their role in taking care of our aquatic environment including information on any new and existing fishing regulations, as well as helpful fishing facts.”
Copies of the NSW Recreational Saltwater Fishing Guide 2012 and the NSW Recreational Freshwater Fishing Guide 2012 are available from NSW DPI Fisheries Offices and most fishing tackle shops.
