A KINGIE originally caught and tagged on 5 October 2023 in Coffin Bay, South Australia, by Ethan Parsons has been recaptured less than a month later.
The fish was recaptured on 31 October 2023 by a commercial vessel fishing off Jervis Bay in NSW.
This hefty 126cm fish travelled over 980 nautical miles (~1,819km) in the space of only 26 days, which averages out to be 37 nautical miles (~70km) per day! This fish was well and truly on the move!
