WESTERN Australia’s peak representative rec fishing body, Recfishwest, has appointed a new Chief Executive Officer.
Last week the Recfishwest board announced it had appointed Dr Andrew Rowland as the organisation’s CEO.
After successfully acting in the role for the last three months the Recfishwest board reportedly felt confident Rowland would build upon the body’s strong foundations laid by Frank Prokop, who retired earlier this year after 14 years.
Over the past three years Rowland has impressed current board members and colleagues with his energy, commitment and enthusiasm towards enhancing the recreational fishing experience of West Australians.
Rowland brings to the representative body a wealth of marine science experience which is sure to prove an asset for the organisation into the future.
Fisho congratulates Dr Rowland for his appointment. We have also contacted him to outline his thoughts on the future plans and priorities for Recfishwest. We’ll keep you posted.
