ADELAIDE Game Fishing Club member Brad Smith has recently lodged an 8kg line class record for a magnificent 26.4kg kingfish he caught at the top of Spencer Gulf in South Australia.
Brad caught the pending Australian and State record kingfish while fishing aboard his boat Hoodlum with fishing companion Michael McManus.
It took 45 anxious minutes to land the fish, which was caught while sight casting with a stick bait. Brad is certainly no stranger to the record books with several current records for various species.
