RISE Fly Fishing Film Festival 2012

RETURNING to movie screens around Australia this winter is the RISE Fly Fishing Film Festival, the world’s most extensive fishing film festival.

Now in its seventh year, RISE is on a mission to celebrate the diverse world of fly fishing, to connect anglers through shared experience, and to create public awareness of fly fishing’s new dynamic emergence. The festival allows the fishing community to share their passion for the sport by attending film screenings across the country.

RISE showcases exclusive premieres from the world’s best fly fishing film makers. Cinema audiences this year will be treated to stunning footage from Australia, New Zealand, Slovenia, USA and Guyana presented in high definition on the big screen.

Gin-Clear Media’s Predator is the feature film of the festival and the follow-up to the highly acclaimed Hatch. Fly fishermen have always lusted after big fish, those large predators that dominate the rivers, lakes and oceans in which they preside. Predator explores the globe for the largest and most powerful fish that can be taken with a fly rod.

Presented by Gin-Clear Media, RISE will screen in towns and cities across Australia, including: Perth, Darwin, Hobart, Launceston, Burnie, Melbourne, Ballarat, Canberra, Albury, Bowral, Sydney, Central Coast and Brisbane.
