Okuma’s all new Salina II is designed specifically for heavy braided jigging and other big fish encounters.
The main gear is helical cut from high density material – 50 per cent stronger than standard
gearing, and combines with a machine cut brass pinion gear to produce a drive train that is smooth, efficient, and ideal for tough fishing conditions and punishing fishing methods.
An oversized screw-in aluminium handle ensures a non-slip grip when the pressure’s on while Salina II’s dual force drag system (incorporating oiled felt washers) features a multi-disk drag in the front of the spool that works in conjunction with a secondary drag at the rear of the spool to maximise drag pressure – while allowing smooth line release.
The frame, side plate and rotor are rigid machine cut diecast aluminium and the spool is vented aluminium designed to be used under high pressure situations.
