Samurai’s brute spin stick

THE Samurai 702 spin rod is an all new addition for 2012. Sitting above the ever popular Samurai 502 model, the makers of the new 702 say it is a mean bluewater spin stick designed for heavy tackle and fast fish.

This two-piece beauty is designed to take 30-60lb line and handle it with ease, while the seven foot construction allows for both deep fishing or casting.

The business end of the rod is designed to absorb the angry headshakes and blistering runs of all types of angling targets, while the butt section provides the deep down power needed to stop rampaging runs.

The Fuji reel seat and camo duralon grips are first class and the blank construction, laccodring to Samurai is second to none. The rods also feature the ever popular Fuji K Series guides, meaning less tangles and more fish.

Complementing the existing range, the 702 is for serious offshore anglers looking for a light but powerful rod capable of being fished with all day while minimising the fatigue associated with fishing heavy gear.

Samurai also has a new website where you can learn all about the rod range and see what its pro team has been up to with new prototype models.
