This Slam photo comp entry comes from regular photo comp entrant Gary O’Bryan. According to Gary this pic shows his apprentice painter, Ozzy, with a shovel-headed 80cm flathead caught around the Gold Coast seaway.
Gary says they were both using 3/8oz 5/0 jigheads and Slam 7″ Nitro Chicken Jerk Shads.
“We caught several on this day and were really happy with the way the flathead were absolutely hammering them with gusto! Simply drifting and vertically jigging with constant contact with the bottom, with this one (along with most) nailing them on the drop.. Slamtastic!” Gary concludes.
