BASIN Lure and Fly Anglers Inc. – a little club south of Sydney – has been running a few bream competitions called the Southern Bream Series.
From January, 2010, it will combine forces with Shimano Australia and introduce the Squidgy Southern Bream Series, featuring rounds from Port Hacking in the north, to Tuross in the south, and some great estuaries in between.
The series has some great sponsors on board including: Shimano, Lowrance, Culburra Bait and Tackle, Skeeter Boats, Hobiecat Australasia, Evinrude ETEC outboards, Mad Keen, Damiki Fishing Tackle, and of course Fishing World.
The series is open to both kayakers and boating teams and is run with a relaxed atmosphere and a feed at the end of the day, for a good time by all.

2) February 21st Batemans Bay
3) March 3th Port Hacking
4) April 18th St Georges Basin
5) May 30th Shoalhaven River
6) June 20th Hawkesbury River
7) July 25th Lake Illawarra
8) August 8th Tuross
9) September 19th Sydney Harbor
Grand Final
October 23rd & 24th St Georges Basin/Shoalhaven
*The cost of each round will be $100 per boating team;
*The kayak section will be $50 per person;
*There will be a $250 biggest bream prize every round.
